The Staten Island University Hospital Scholarship is offered once a year to a P-4 student. Details are listed below. Description
The Staten Island University Hospital will provide a scholarship in the amount of $12,500/SEMESTER FOR FOUR (4) CONSECUTIVE SEMESTERS, beginning with the Fall Semester of P-5 (Sept 2010).

Contract

• The student selected for this scholarship, VALUED AT $50,000, will sign a contract with Staten Island which commits the student to accept employment at the hospital at prevailing internship rates for up to 15 hours per week, during years P-5 and P-6.

• The recipient must remain in good academic and employment status in order to continue to qualify for the scholarship.

• Upon New York State pharmacy licensure, the recipient will agree to accept a staff position, and remain in this position for three (3) years. Applicants should understand that in taking this scholarship, they should not expect to do a residency before the time is completed.

Eligibility

• Applications DUE BY THURSDAY, MARCH 11 in the Office of Student and Professional Affairs at the College.
  
  
• Initial screening will be carried out by College Staff

• Finalist candidates will be interviewed at Staten Island University Hospital, and recipient will be selected by the Hospital.

• Applicants should be Staten Island Residents or reside in reasonable proximity to the Hospitals.
