Open Forum

To All Pharmacy Students:

Are you a current member of a club or organization?
Wondering how you can become more involved?

Monday February 1st, there will be an Open Forum for the following clubs/organizations:

~National Community Pharmacy Association (NCPA)
~Pharmaceutical Industry Student Association (PISA)
~American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)
~American College of Clinical Pharmacist (ACCP)
~Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP)
~American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP)
~Student National Pharmacy Association (SNPhA)


The Open Forum will be held during the Dean’s Hour time from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in HS 107. If you are interested in running for a position in any of the organizations listed above, you must come and declare what you are running for and give a 1-2 minute speech detailing why you are the best candidate.

If you are NOT interested in running but you are an active member of the organization, it is highly recommended to come and support your peers, and also so you can make an informed decision when you vote.

Elections will be held the following Thursday, February 4th, in the HS lobby from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Please come out and make your vote count!

All the organizations have the following positions available the next academic year (fall 2010 - spring 2011):

Vice President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and Secretary

In addition to the above, the following are other positions specific to certain organizations:

AMCP: Special Projects Chair, Public Relations
ASHP: Public Relations
NCPA: Director of Legislative Affairs, Director of Events, Director of Membership & PR
SNPhA: Historian
