We will need student volunteers for LIU DAYon Sunday, NOVERMBER 15. As you know, we never know how many people to expect for this event. Our student volunteers are always very helpful.
The day begins officially at 11, but students should be here around 10:30. The day ends officially at 2 p.m. but we don’t leave until around 3.
I can appreciate that giving up this much time on a Sunday is difficult. If we are able to organize the students so that some come at 10:30 and leave at 12:30, others can come at 12:30 and leave at 2:30 that would be fine – as long as someone is in charge of organizing everything. We need at least two hours from each student.
Students usually conduct tours and could set up a table with information about student activities and organizations here at the College.
I hope to have at least 10 students but no more than 20 (though I hate to turn anyone away).
Students should not feel pressured into coming – if they make the commitment they should, however, honor it.
We will really rely on them to show up!
Please get together a list by October 30, 2009.
Should be a mix of all four years, if at all possible.
Thanks for your help!
Areas where students are needed:
1. Tour guides
2. Student activities information desk (Pictures of students activities – Club Fair, White Coat Ceremony, Pharmacy Day, etc. would look good)
3. Student representative (must be P5 or preferably P6 student) to sit in on Dean’s presentation
4. “Gofors” (go for this, for that)
